Tenant Application & Rental Procedure
Tenant Application & Rental Procedure
Step 1
- An Application form MUST be completed prior to viewing properties. This can be done online or on a paper copy which should be returned to the office. If you have already completed an application for this or another property, you can obtain more information by calling 028 777 67070.
Step 2
- References from two persons who are not related to you and are of good standing in the community will be required on the application. We will accept references from:
- Your employer or
- Your current landlord or
- A professional person or
- A local businessperson.
Step 3
- Once references have been checked we will contact you to arrange a suitable time for viewings.
Step 4
- When you have decided on a property a holding/security deposit (Check listing for exact amount) must be paid to secure the property.
Step 5
- On your move in date your first months’ rent must be paid and contract signed.
Step 6
- Minimum contract is normally 6 months, with a maximum of 12 months. The contract is renewable provided both the Landlord and the Tenant are agreeable.
Step 7
- Some Landlords will not accept DSS clients or those in receipt of Housing Benefit – The property listing will tell you if this is the case.
Step 8
- Should the listing say DSS considered this is dependant on the references you can provide us with, i.e. you will be considered only if references are good.
